Let’s shake up the concept of time management, at its base time management is the effective and/or productive use of one’s time.

Where we get caught up and stressed is when we try to fit our tasks into these nifty little time pockets.

Today I’m going to show you how by not focusing on time that you will be able to get more done and feel great about it at the end of the day.

This is going to be a four-part series, detailing the four things you can do to make sure that you are always maximizing your time and energy each day.

First, let’s learn a new concept, time mastery. Time mastery is where you focus on what you can control, your emotions, boundaries, planning and distractions, and not on what you can’t, time. By focusing on and mastering what you can control time just, works out.

Let’s get to it!

How can mastering your emotions help you to master your time?

Have you ever had a day where it seemed like everything was going wrong at the same time? You felt like you were on an emotional roller coaster going up and down depending on what came your way next?

Think about that day, was it super productive, or because you spent so much time in your feelings you found that by the time you came down from your emotional ride, over half of your day was gone?

When you learn how to master your emotions, days like that take less of a toll on you. You are better equipped to ride the tide and keep it moving.

Here are three tricks that you can use to begin mastering your emotions so that you can have a better command on your day.

  1. Step back and take a breath.
  2. Get clear on how you’re feeling in that moment.
  3. Find a way to reframe and find the good.

It’s just that simple.

Everything is happening for you. The sooner you realize that the easier it becomes to master your emotions.
